Crown City Krooks, a rock and roll trio from Los Angeles, CA, produces authentic rock and roll music true to the uncomplicated roots of the genre. CCK turned to Sickboat Creative to design and develop; a renewed brand identity, social strategy, album artwork, music video, and personalized website – all methodically packaged around a Kickstarter campaign.
Sickboat’s approach was based on a single strategic insight – social impact. We leveraged a total of 13 people and 7 social platforms to raise funds by making the largest social impact we could. We focused on winning at our own game by pinpointing our target audience and crafting an authentic story.
Over the course of 32 days, we garnered over 1.4 million organic impressions across seven social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, LinkedIn, Soundcloud, and Google+)
