How To Add Kinetic Type in Premiere Pro:

1. Step 1: Open the "Essential Graphics" window.
2. Step 2: Double Click on the little plus sign in the bottom right hand corner of Premiere Pro and import your Motion Graphics Templates (.MOGRTs).
3. Step 3: Drag & Drop the Kinetic Type title into the timeline.
4. Step 4: Click on the Kinetic Type title in the timeline to open the "Edit" panel in the Essential Graphics window.
5. Step 5: Then edit the text, font, color, size, kerning, timing, stroke width, and position.

 

How To Add Kinetic Type in After Effects:

1. Step 1: Double Click on the kinetic type title sequence in the project window.
2. Step 2: In the Essential Graphics window, click on the "Primary" drop down menu and select the corresponding kinetic type title you would like to edit.
3. Step 3: Then edit the text, font, color, size, kerning, timing, stroke width, and position.
4. Step 4: Click the "Toggle Transparency Grid" button, so the alpha layer is visible.
5. Step 5: Export animated kinetic type file as ProRes 4444 w/alpha layer for drag & drop ease in your editing software of choice.
